The ongoing Durga Puja at DRDO Community Hall in Kanchanbagh has been done with the pandal in Bathukamma theme to emphasise on Telangana’s tradition and culture.

The Puja, which has been organised by Krishti Gosthi, a Bengali socio cultural organisation, aims to integrate the local people and their culture for the festival.

Some of the cultural programmes being performed by the in-house talent include the folk dance “Dhak Dhol ar Naach” by tiny tots, drama “Dublar Chawrey Dokkhhin Ray” and classical dance “Facets of Kathak” by DRDO scientists and their family members.

The DRDO Community Hall has been decorated with traditional pandal prepared by artisans from West Bengal and sparkling lights providing a picturesque setting for the Puja.

This is the 31st Durga Puja by the group that aims to promote the Bengali culture along with local cultures. It also tries to create an awareness of the rich Bengali heritage among the new generation.
