With Mumbai becoming the host to the preview of second edition of Gionee India Beach Fashion Week (GIBFW), a teaser of collections of the finale designers Wendell Rodricks, James Ferreira and Rocky Star with their model muses Candice Pinto, Deepti Gujral and Sucheta Sharma was showcased here.

Hosted by VJ Anusha Dandekar, the event, which took place on Tuesday, also saw creations of designers like Pratham & Gyanesh, Zeel Doshi Thakker, Dimple Raghani and Riddhi Siddhi, who will also be showcasing their work at the three-day fashion extravaganza, which will begin from October 29.

To be held in Goa, the fashion week will have over 35 designers showcasing their collection on the ramp. The gala will focus on beach and resort wear. During the fashion week, the models will also be showcasing collections of popular designers like Rina Dhaka, Dev R Nil, Urvashi Kaur and Anupama Dayal.

To add value to the show, there will be a unique display and sale arena 'Made in Goa', which has been introduced for design talent specifically based out of Goa. "Fashion is one of the ways which allows any individual to express himself and now we see that mobile phones have evolved beyond a device and has become an accessory which makes a style statement about the individual who carries the phone.

"It was a perfect fit for Gionee, a brand known for making devices with great design to associate with IBFW as this platform allows the designers to push the style quotient," Arvind R.Vohra, country CEO and managing director, Gionee India, said in a statement.
