Power and authority cause for corruption, says Prof Faizan Mustafa
Power and authority lead people to corruption and desire is the cause of all evil,” said Prof Dr Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor, Nalsar University of Law in Shameerpet while speaking at a seminar on ‘Preventive vigilance as a tool of good governance’ organised by the South Central Railway (SCR) as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week on Monday.
“Power and authority lead people to corruption and desire is the cause of all evil,” said Prof Dr Faizan Mustafa, Vice-Chancellor, Nalsar University of Law in Shameerpet while speaking at a seminar on ‘Preventive vigilance as a tool of good governance’ organised by the South Central Railway (SCR) as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week on Monday.
Elaborating on the subject of good governance he stated that prevention is not just better than cure, but is the only cure.
In his address, Ravindra Gupta, GM, SCR said that SCR took the lead by detailing the ‘Citizens’ Charter’ on its website.
Earlier, Gajanan Mallya, Sr deputy general manager and chief vigilance officer, SCR spelt out the work undertaken by the vigilance wing on the zone with the objective of “Zero Tolerance to Corruption”. In addition, a ‘Vigilance Bulletin’ was released on the occasion.
