Asus has launched its new VivoBook laptop, which features a 4K/UHD IPS display and runs the latest Windows 10 OS. The VivoBook 4K comes with a 15.6-inch screen (16:9) IPS display with 3840 x 2160 pixels resolution, which comes to around 282 ppi. VivoBook 4K’s display comes with wide 178° viewing angles.

Other specs of the laptop are: Intel Core i7 5500U processor, NVIDIA GeForce 940M graphics, 8GB RAM, with expansion slots for up to 12GB RAM. It will come in storage options of 500GB HDD, 1TB HDD, 1.5TB HDD and 2TB HDD space. VivoBook will also come in 128GB and 256GB SSD storage options.

Asus says the VivoBook’s screen corrects colour temperature and optimises visual settings. The screen has three preset modes; vivid for movies and photos, normal for daily productivity, and manual mode which allows for full user control. Asus has also added its Eye Care technology to reduce blue-light levels by 33 per cent for a more comfortable viewing experience. The mode can be activated via an app. Asus VivoBook 4K has a premium brushed-metal construction and is available in Gold, Grey, Black, and Navy Blue.
