About 300 people from different walks of life participated in the cyclothon conducted by Continental Hospitals for breast cancer awareness recently.

The event was organised in association with Golfedge and All India IT Employees Welfare Association (AIITEWA) to educate people about risk factors and the benefits of early and timely detection. Cine actress Kumari Kalpika flagged off the Cyclothon from Biodiversity Bicycling Club that reached Hitec city and ended at the Bicycling Club.

Speaking to the audience, Dr Praveen K Dadireddy, Consultant Breast Oncoplastic Surgeon said, “During normal screening tests, we have detected dozens of breast cancer cases and treated them diligently at the first go. Thus, early detection methods are very important to make the treatment successful.”
