Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali launched a book ‘Hyderabad-Mohalle, Gali, Kooche in Urdu’ at the Salar Jung Museum recently.

Union Minister for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali launched a book ‘Hyderabad-Mohalle, Gali, Kooche in Urdu’ at the Salar Jung Museum recently.
The book, which was penned by Anwar-ul-Uloom College’s former principal Dr Anand Raj Varma, gives details of 66 localities, 40 dargahs and 1,400 historical sites in Hyderabad.
Anand, who is a lecturer of the deputy CM, said, “I have done painstaking research by visiting each area, talking with the people and collecting the little known facts.
Speaking on the occasion, Urdu writer Jeelani Bano said, "I appreciate Anand’s interest in Urdu language and Hyderabad. I liked the way he presented the Hyderabadi Mohalle, which may reach the world."
