Our Sacred Space in Secunderabad celebrated its third anniversary recently.

Our Sacred Space in Secunderabad celebrated its third anniversary recently. Opening the festival, ‘Convergence’ on the occasion, Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, IT said he was pleasantly surprised by the variety and the range of programmes and was appreciative of the nature-friendly architecture of the space. “It is very inviting and warm,” he said.

The festival opened with a painting exhibition by artists from the Odisha Modern Art Gallery and interesting set of city artists that included Pavan Kumar, Sweta Chandra, Yusuf Aidroos, self-taught artist Karthik, Saakshi and senior artist Sade Adiseshaiah. There was also a small handloom and handicraft exhibition that showcased exquisitely woven Dhakai Jamdani sarees, Gujarati batik printed dresses and embroidered blouses and handwoven cane baskets.

Nayantara Nandkumar, who co-founded Our Sacred Space along with her parents, said that it had been a team effort that the place could run so well since the time of inception and promised to make the eco-friendly space more vibrant in future.
