The LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Banjara Hills entered into an agreement with John F Kennedy Memorial Medical Center, Liberia to create added value to the services of their respective institutions through synergies including the integration and cross transfer of medical skills, knowledge and expertise.

The LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) in Banjara Hills entered into an agreement with John F Kennedy Memorial Medical Center, Liberia to create added value to the services of their respective institutions through synergies including the integration and cross transfer of medical skills, knowledge and expertise.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed in Delhi at a meeting attended by The President of Liberia Dr Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Dr Gullapalli N Rao, Founder and Chair, LVPEI to facilitate the creation of a comprehensive self-sustaining Eye Health Initiative in Liberia.

Under this initiative, LVPEI will provide inputs in developing high quality customised eye care services in Liberia based on the needs, feasibility and suitability of the services at the Medical Center.

In addition, LVPEI will also provide guidance and assistance in human resource planning, recruitment, training and also assist the Medical Center in developing and implementing a countrywide community eye health programme.
