Appreciating the industry’s efforts towards development, Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj KT Rama Rao said in his address, “We are sure that the IT industry will continue the momentum and play an important role in supporting the government in its mission to provide better living conditions for everybody in the form of better education, more employment, healthy environment and many such things.”

Elaborating on the initiatives of the industry, secretary of ITE&C department Jayesh Ranjan said, “A Green IT Committee was constituted under the Chairmanship of the IT Secretary for promoting eco-friendly practices in the IT corridor. The initiatives include Plantations in the IT corridor, preserving the lakes in Cyberabad, Cycle to work, Car Free Thursday and promoting Marathons and Cyclathons.”

The closing keynote was delivered by Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Anshu Gupta, Founder, Goonj who talked about how many rules of the development sector are moving away from a funding based sustainable model to one where masses are the focus.

The HYSEA CSA forum honoured key architects, who have made the initiative successful. Certificate of appreciation was presented by KT Rama Rao to Sreedhar Gunduboina, CSR Program Manager, ADP, Vishnupriya Saksena, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Wells Fargo India, Pradeep Gadicherla, Applications and IT Infra Management Tools and Automation Engineer and Sustainability Champion, CA Technologies and Uday Shankar Peyyeti, Manager and Sustainability Champion, Capgemini.

Other members present were Prof S Parasuraman,Director, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Prof Shantha Sinha, Former Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Founder, Mamidipudi Venkatarangaiya Foundation, Mukesh Kumar, Chief Programme Executive-CSR, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Deenanath Harapanahalli, CEO, CyKul, Dr Rukmini Banerji, CEO, Pratham, Chaya Ratan, Sanjay Singh, Director of Office of Development Indian School of Business.
