Founder and chairman of G&C Global Consortium Pvt Ltd AVR Chowdary said that people must cultivate a habit of getting up in the morning, particularly the youth. “Some of the youth have not seen a sunrise so far in their life, which is very bad,” he added.

The paintings drawn were segregated on the basis of age with five categories. 15 best paintings and 3 paintings from each category were honoured as Beat Paintings. 500 best paintings were judged by renowned artists. They will be auctioned later; funds will be donated to the charity partner, My Choices Foundation that works for women and girls to live free from abuse.

Colorothon will soon be foraying into other major cities, such as Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Guwahati. “Our vision is to see Indians from all over the country of all ages and all groups take to painting on a day which will be celebrated as Colorothon Day,” said Ahmed Shariff, one of the organisers. “We will be approaching the Tourism and Culture Separtment seeking their support and funding for this social cause and take this event to all major cities in India,” he added.
