It was an awe-inspiring display of young talent, as one witnessed the paintings showcased at the exhibition ‘An affair with Nature’ held by Das Art Foundation and Srivatsa Narasimha Palaparthi Memorial Foundation (SNPMF) on November 14 and 15.

The eco-friendly works by the students of KY Das, depicted natural environment at its best. About 40 exhibits were displayed at Sundrayya Vignana Kendra, Baglingampally. The paintings done in water colour numbered 20, while the rest were works by the founder of SNPMF, Late Palaparthi Venkateswarlu as well as KY Das. Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Golloori Anjaiah, State secretary, Telangana Rastriya Samithi assured the organisers of extending all possible help to the artists in whatever way they need. He was much impressed with the exhibits and patted the youngsters for their creativity under able guidance of KY Das, who, along with sculptor P Ramesh of SNPMF coordinated the exhibition.

Some of the exhibits included an old temple painting by Anuroop, while another by Satvika was on the beauty of nature. Similarly, Signadha, Noumika, Jaisuk, Jyothi and others painted sceneries of waterfalls, sunshine, snowy mountains, village greenery, agricultural lands and seashore. All in all, the children evinced an acute interest in painting, and it is certain that some may be future artists of the country.

The visitors opined that the exhibits ought to have been priced (with name and caption) for facilitating art lovers to purchase the attractive exhibits, which might in turn induce the children to further progress with confidence. Is it not!
