Music, whether classical or contemporary, is very soothing to the heart. Recently, the Hyderabad Western Music Foundation collaborated with Shrishti Art Gallery at the historic Hill Fort Palace to mesmerise the audience with their captivating instrumental melodies.

The lively presentation by city-based youngsters from the group, Hyderabad Youth Ensemble played to well-known numbers on the variety of instruments such as violin, saxophone, percussion and cello, which emitted a harmonious outcome. The location at twilight added to the ambience.

The theme for the show was based on popular instrumental music that people may easily find a connection with, like soundtracks from ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘The Famous Somewhere Over the Rainbow’, ‘Canon in D’ by Johann Pachelbel and many more. It was an energetic performance, with the audience singing the lyrics and humming along with zeal.

Joe Koster, the conductor and founder of HWMF expressed, “The occasion is all about music and many youngsters have shown their love for music, by playing their favorite instruments.” It was a pleasant evening with an audience that consisted of small kids too.
