Atop Everest with out legs
Standing on the summit of Mount Everest has always been his boyhood dream, “The dream was dead in 1982 when as a Search and Rescue Mountaineer in New Zealand’s majestic Mount Cook National Park, I had a ‘hiccup’ in my climbing career, stuck in an ice cave dubbed ‘Middle Peak Hotel’ near the summit of Mount Cook for 14 days. As a result, I lost both legs below the knees to frostbite.”
World’s first double amputee to scale Mt Everest, coming to Hyderabad

From then on, what Mark Inglis has accomplished is history. He has been an inspiration to the entire world for being the first double amputee to scale the mighty Everest.
The legendary tale of Mark will unfold in the city as he will be here on an invitation from the Woxsen School of Business for the inaugural session of the Woxen Leadership Series, beginning November 28.
An accomplished cyclist, who won a silver medal at the Sydney Paralympic Games in 2000, Mark will address the students on the theme 'Leadership in Turbulent Times'. He has also authored the bestselling book 'No Legs on Everest' that details his conquest of Everest.
“The remarkable story of how a double amputee from New Zealand made it to the top of Mt Everest and back down will be an inspiration to many of Woxsen’s Students and guests,” shared Praveen (Veen) Pula, Promoter and Founder of Woxen.
“Mark is a celebrated Motivational Speaker, consultant to Global Corporations and has been an invited speaker at the prestigious TED conferences in the past,” he added.
“The goal of this programme is to increase student’s capacity to effective action as a business leader. The learning model emphasises mastery of business fundamentals, proficiency in analytical problem solving and development of well-informed point of view on strategic leadership,” he said.
