The Andhra Bank in Secunderabad celebrated the 93rd Founders’ Day on Monday. As part of the celebrations the Bank donated therapy material to the Sweekar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences. CV Raghunath Zonal Manager, Secunderabad handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to P Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of the Institution.

The Andhra Bank in Secunderabad celebrated the 93rd Founders’ Day on Monday. As part of the celebrations the Bank donated therapy material to the Sweekar Academy of Rehabilitation Sciences. CV Raghunath Zonal Manager, Secunderabad handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to P Hanumantha Rao, Chairman of the Institution.

Speaking on this occasion, CV Raghunath said, “Noted freedom fighter and politician Dr Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya established the Bank on November 28 in 1923. The celebrations also coincide with the birth anniversary of Dr Sitaramayya, who was born on November 24 in 1880, in Gundugolanu village.”

In addition, the Bank has opened two new branches at Dr A S Rao Nagar and Mallampet on Monday and is planning to open new branches at Borabanda and Old Alwal soon.
