In an attempt to create awareness among the public and push for active participation of citizens towards waste management, NCC cadets of Secunderabad Group organised a Waste Management Awareness Rally recently. The rally planned by 4-Telangana NCC Battalion, was led by Col. NS Pal, SM, Group Commander Secunderabad Group and a team of officers.

In an attempt to create awareness among the public and push for active participation of citizens towards waste management, NCC cadets of Secunderabad Group organised a Waste Management Awareness Rally recently. The rally planned by 4-Telangana NCC Battalion, was led by Col. NS Pal, SM, Group Commander Secunderabad Group and a team of officers.

The campaign began with the rally being flagged off from the Bison Polo Grounds by Air Commodore SR Gharpure, Deputy Director General NCC Directorate (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh). Earlier during the day, Air Commodore SR Gharpure expressed his concerns on the lack of public awareness towards waste management. Explaining the critical aspects of awareness, he stressed on the need for a proper understanding of waste management issues without which the success of even the best conceived plans becomes questionable.

The cadets, who began the rally from the Bison Polo Grounds, walked their way around prominent locations around Polo and Gymkhana Grounds where students raised slogans pertaining to the importance of waste management related issues.
