As part of their internship, about 25 first year BBA students from Nyenrode Business University, Amsterdam, Netherlands visited the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) on Thursday.

Students received a presentation on the APPCB activities focusing on Municipal Solid Waste Management in Andhra Pradesh, noise pollution, recycling and disposal of e-waste management, climate change, handling of public transport, Government subsidies, web monitoring, industrial hazardous waste management and awareness programmes conducted by the Board for educating people.

The Board also explained important policy issues for adopting simple and transparent procedures for speedy processing of applications and explained the preparation of Zonal Atlas to guide new entrepreneurs with information about the site suitability for setting up of an industry and the implementation of e-office to make the APPCB a paperless office in the State.

JCEEs M Shiva Reddy, Siva Prasad, KV Rao and Vijaya Kumar along with Senior Administrator N Padmavathi and Chief Accounts Officer Vasundara participated in the programme.
