City based ‘Gallery Space’ has come up with the show titled ‘Conversations and Pauses’. One can find works of artists from all over the country. These artists have made a mark in the international art scene and are known widely for their expressive works.
The work of artists who are no more are also in display, one of them is Somnath Hore, who often expressed concern for mankind's inhumanity. His work shows the human suffering or we can say it shows glimpses of forms and varying moods of humans.
Whereas, the other person is FN Souza, who created history for an Indian work of art called ‘Goa-born’. In his work, one can see the conflict in a man-woman relationship, with an emphasis on sexual tension and friction.
The other artists were from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Assam and from Hyderabad too. Some of the artists from Delhi, whose works are displayed are, Bose Krishnamachary, Ram Kumar, Krishen Khanna and Anupam Sud. Bose’s painting is a mix of colour and strong patterns on canvas, and is a unique visual experience. Anupam Sud's work on the other hand has been evolved in phases.
The present show includes the works of artists such as Jogen Chaudhary, Ram Kumar, Paresh Maity, KG Subramanyam, as well as some very senior artists from Hyderabad such as Laxma Goud, Vaikutham, Laxman Aelay and Sachin Jaltare. The show combines works by the most acclaimed artists from our country and hence it promises a memorable experience for art lovers and enthusiasts. The exhibition is on till December 12.
