The 43rd Motiram Maniram Festival at Chowmahalla Palace on Monday featured a scintillating display of Odissi by Arushi Mudgal, niece and student of Padmashri Madhavi Mudgal. Graceful elegance combined with impeccable mastery over the style and mudras delighted the audience.

The ambience of the Palace provided a backdrop of splendid grandeur. Young Arushi presented four items including the characteristic pallavi; an excerpt from Kalidasa's “Meghadootam” featured Vasant, exquisitely depicted.

The music, which was recorded, was of outstanding quality. Padmashri Dr Ileana Citariste graced the occasion, and Padmavibhushan Pandit Jasraj felicitated the artiste at the end of the performance.
