The dual-SIM dual standby supporting Vivo Y51 runs the company's FunTouch OS based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) resolution IPS display. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

There is 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The Vivo Y51 also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset additionally features Night mode, HDR, Panorama, and Face Beauty modes. The rear camera supports full-HD (1080p) video recording.

The Vivo Y51's China listing reveals the smartphone supports Indian 4G LTE bands (2300MHz and 1800MHz) along with GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity options. Measuring 143.8x71.7x7.52mm, the smartphone weighs 157 grams and is backed by a 2350mAh Li-Po battery. The handset packs ambient light, proximity, gravity, and digital compass sensors.

The two new smartphones, namely Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus, have been priced at CNY 2,600 (roughly Rs 27,000) and CNY 3,200 (roughly Rs 33,200) respectively. The company also announced China Unicom versions of the Vivo X6 and Vivo X6 Plus which will be available at CNY 2,500 (roughly Rs 26,000) and CNY 3,000 (roughly Rs 31,000) respectively.
