Telugu University in collaboration with Congress of History released the sixth edition of the book titled ‘Andhra Pradesh Samagra Charitra Samskruthi’ on Tuesday. The book covers the Telugu history from 1724 to 1858; from the time of Asaf Jahi reign in Telangana and till the first freedom movement.

The book covers the Telugu history from 1724 to 1858; from the time of Asaf Jahi reign in Telangana and till the first freedom movement.

Vakulabharanam Ramakrishna spearheaded the project and is editor of ‘Andhra Pradesh Samagra Charitra Samskruthi’. The event was chaired by Elluri Shiva Reddy, VC, Telugu University.

Prof. Y Sudharshan Rao, chairperson, Indian Council of Historical Research, released the English version and the Telugu version was released by Mandali Budha Prasad, Deputy Speaker AP.

Speaking about the importance of history, Elluri Shiva Reddy said, “History is as important as science. We should never forget the lessons history taught us.”

Prof Y Sudharsah Rao said, “It is difficult to divide the history of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. That’s why it is told according to kingdoms that have ruled different regions in both the states.”
