The three day affair of 55th Gora Science and Technology Exhibition was inaugurated by deputy speaker of the Assembly, Mandali Budha Prasad at Atheist Center in the city on Wednesday. Gora Science Center has been imparting knowledge among the students and youngsters with their programmes designed to evoke reasoning capacity in every individual.

The three day affair of 55th Gora Science and Technology Exhibition was inaugurated by deputy speaker of the Assembly, Mandali Budha Prasad at Atheist Center in the city on Wednesday. Gora Science Center has been imparting knowledge among the students and youngsters with their programmes designed to evoke reasoning capacity in every individual. Their efforts towards educating people on superstitions are appreciative, he said speaking on the occasion.

Budha Prasad went around taking a look at the exhibits on Science, nature, biology, physiology, anatomy, social sciences by students of various Schools and Colleges. More than 120 exhibits depicting themes like Bio –diversity, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Soil Erosion, Pollution, Preserving Rain water, Solar panels, technology adaptable mechanism models, solar systems, eco friendly construction materials, colors, multi level space efficient parking system, automatic traffic signalling, manufacturing plastic fuel, production of electricity through wood were a few among the exhibited projects. Of all, the exhibit of a dead body by the medicos to explain the construction of the human body and its parts had created enthusiasm among youngsters while school children were seen apprehensive. The display of human body parts by Vasavya Nursing Home grabbed eyes of the visitors at the exhibition.

MLA Gadde Rammohan speaking during the inauguration said that exhibitions like this will encourage children to bring out their talents. “They get an opportunity to experience, learn and look at a greater exposure through events which are educative,” he said.

The exhibition will be open for public from 10 am to 4 pm till Friday at the Atheist Center near Benz Circle. Prizes will also be given away to the best exhibits under selected categories, said the organisers.

Former National president of the Indian Medical Association Dr G Samaram, Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical College principal Dr P S N Murthy, former MP Chennupati Vidya, Gora Science Center Director Vijayam, others were present during the inauguration of the programme.
