Dr BR Ambedkar’s Mahaparinirvan Diwas observed

Students, faculty and staff at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) observed the death anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on Sunday.

Prof. Vipin Srivastava, in-charge Vice-Chancellor led the congregation assembled at the administration building in paying floral tributes to the Bharat Ratna awardee and observing a minute’s silence on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas.

Often called Babasaheb, Ambedkar is known for his fights against social discrimination of Dalits, women and labourers.
