The first Golconda Exhibition displays the artistic splendour of Telangana – its handmade handicrafts and handlooms. The exhibition showcases the culture of different states of India, will be open till December 14 at SR Nagar.

The Lepakshi Exhibition, which has been running since many years, has been now re-christened as the Golconda Exhibition, after the formation of Telangana

The first Golconda Exhibition displays the artistic splendour of Telangana – its handmade handicrafts and handlooms. The exhibition showcases the culture of different states of India, will be open till December 14 at SR Nagar.
There is a whole variety to look forward to – water colour paintings, home décor such as wall clocks, flower vases made of rosewood and agarbatis available in different perfumes like rosewood, sandal wood, chandan, tulasi and rudraksha.
The wooden lacquer products and show pieces were brought from a village name Etikopa from Visakhapatnam. Many toys like the famously known Kondapalli handmade toys are also displayed, and have been brought from Vijayawada.
Handlooms like sarees and dupattas with embroidery works, bandini and other prints from different regions of India are also displayed. Khadhi shirts, woolen materials, among others are also displayed. The expo has a mix of different cultures, displayed at one place.
