Following the decade long tussle between the temple authorities and devotees over funds of Sree Ayyappa Devasthanam in Bolaram, the Endowment of Telangana State has stepped in and taken charge of the affairs.

As per the directions of Commissioner of Endowment of Telangana State, official K Mahender Kumar has assumed charge as the Executive Officer, from Monday to administrate the affairs and functioning of the temple.

A spokesperson from the endowments department, said that as per the orders of the Commissioner of Endowments, they have seized the hundi, records and other financial documents in view of the alleged complaints about misappropriation of temple funds which has been happening for a long time by the temple managing committees.

The seizure was carried out by Endowment Department Officials Ragunath, Ravi, K Sudhakar Rao, V Vsudeva Rao, M Tarachand, Srivittal, G Sudhakar and others.

Shree Ayyappa Devasthanam established in 1975 is one the most popular temples in Hyderabad and houses deities Devi Bhadra Kali, Lord Shiva, Lord Murugan, Lord Ganesha, Nagaraja and Nava Grahas.
