Panasonic has released its HX-A1 wearable camera, which features enhanced night shooting capabilities and rugged design, in the Indian market at Rs 19,900.

Weighing 45 grams, Panasonic HX-A1 has a 3.54MP, 1.3-inch MOS sensor with F2.8 aperture and 2.6mm focal length. The fixed-focus camera has a 0-lux night mode that can shoot no-light japes. The camera includes an IR filter (night mode) and can be used with an infrared light source, the company said in a statement.

When recording for longer than an hour, Panasonic HX-A1's loop recording feature retains the most recent hour of scenes by erasing earlier scenes and managing videos in 2-minute segments. It captures up to Full HD videos and has a slow-motion mode capable of shooting 60fps at 720p or 120fps at 480p.

The rugged action cam is waterproof and shockproof up to 1.5 metres, dustproof and even freezeproof (to minus 10-degree Celsius). Connectivity options in the camera include USB 2.0, microUSB Type B and Wi-Fi.

The wearable camera can be mounted to a Multi Mount onto goggles, shoulder bags or helmets or tripods using a Tripod Mount. Optional accessories available for Panasonic HX-A1 include handlebar mount, extended battery, twin mount for a light source, clip mount and head mount.

Gaurav Ghavri, product head, Panasonic India, said, "The introduction of HX-A1 wearable camera defines Panasonic's unrelenting pursuit of providing unmatched experience creating excitement in the action camera market."
