However, the championship conducted by Johnson Grammar CBSE School in their Habsiguda campus, came to an anti-climatic end as both the summit clashes ended as tame affairs with the eventual champions dominating the proceedings till the final whistle.

Future Kids girls defeated St Peter’s Residential International School 20-10 while the boys crushed the aspirations of the otherwise strongly placed St. Joseph’s Public School King Koti 46-28.

The winning teams were each richer by Rs 13, 000. The two runners-up were each given Rs 10, 000 in prize-money and the losing semifinalists received Rs 5, 000.

Later, E Damodar, DIG, Joint Director of AP Police Acadmey, distributed the prizes at an impressive ceremony in the presence of the school’s Managing Director B Suresh, coaches, faculty members and parents, who cheered for the players.
