Platform for art
The Contemporary Artists Forum of India (CAFI) is organising its first creative thematic painting exhibition ‘Vihang’, which will be held at Icon Art Galery. The display will be on from December 12-18. The exhibition was announced at Press Club on Thursday.
The Contemporary Artists Forum of India (CAFI) is organising its first creative thematic painting exhibition ‘Vihang’, which will be held at Icon Art Galery. The display will be on from December 12-18. The exhibition was announced at Press Club on Thursday.
This exhibition aims to help artists and their works by conducting workshops, certifications, talent hunt and scholarships, apart from a bi-annual and annual art national and international conference. ‘Vihang’ will feature aspiring, upcoming and senior artists to reach the contemporary art platform.
It will be inaugurated by senior actor T Chalapathi Rao. The theme will be to sensitise people towards conservation of fauna. Most of the paintings will have birds in flight. Artists whose works will be displayed include Dr Machiraju Ramachandra Rao, Bathula Bapuji, Ramesh Kumar Ganji and others.
Some of the advisors and mentors behind the art exhibit are – Dr G Rajendra Prasad, president of MAA; Srinivasa Rao P, principal designer, and Vijaya Pratap, creative director.
