The Pankaj & Nidhi collection was inspired by the pristine nature of Savannah Grasslands of Africa; we had the blend of florals and wildflower patterns with intricate artwork of wild animals presented in the breathtaking collection. Zebras and Cheetah skin patterns were the signature appliqués in whites and pop juicy shades like orange, grass greens and azure sky blues.

Bearing a soothing resemblance to the song “Song of the wind” the collection caressed the landscape; it was the Savannah song. The materials they used were thick fabric, shear, chiffon and new type knit.

Speaking after the event on how she deals with the high-stress work, Nidhi says, “I am trying to learn how to handle her stress by watching (soothing) videos and listening to music. For past ten years my stress levels are high.”

Since they began the label they evolved a lot in their collections. “Although, our online merchandising is not going well, we have good business through our partners’ outlets at Delhi and Bengaluru,” shares Nidhi.

With so much Indian collection, especially wedding-based attire, happening in fashion scene Nidhi says that their label is moving towards Western wear. “Girls like to wear western outfits, so we are designing the western wear especially for girls,” she explains.
