Former Indian Football Team captain and deputy General Manager of Food Corporation of India, Victor Amalraj presented awards to the Service Officer Trainees (OTs) of the 90th Foundation Course of Dr MCR Human Resource Development Institute for their victories at the recently concluded sports competitions of the Institute.

As part of the Foundation Course academic and non-academic activities were organised for the OTs. The sports competitions were conducted in track and field events at GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli that included cross-country run, bicycling, cricket, volleyball, tennis, badminton, carrom and chess.

Victor Amalraj called upon the OTs to keep playing games and sports and encouraged their staff to actively participate in outdoor activities.

Also present at the event was Founder and Chairman of the Sports Coaching Foundation K Saibaba, who explained about the BITS programme of Sports Coaching Foundation and urged the OTs to cultivate a supporting culture in every organisation they work.

PN Rao, Principal Additional Director General, National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics (NACEN) called upon the OTs imbibe the qualities of simplicity and humility of Victor Amalraj and the selfless service of K Saibaba.

Additional Director General of Dr MCR HRD Institute, Dr K Tirupataiah, IFS was present.

The 90th Foundation Course comprises 104 OTs of which 33 are women, belonging into 22 different services like IPS, IFS, Indian Postal Service, Indian Railway Protection Force, Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service, Indian Information Service, Indian Civil Accounts Service, Indian Railway Personnel Service, Indian Ordinal Factory Service, Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service, Indian Trade Service.
