Speaking at the meeting, CPI-M state secretary T Veerabhadram said, “After coming into the power, the TRS is trying to rule in a harsh manner by not allowing the Opposition parties to contest in the election by luring them into their camp.
Out of the 12 seats in the State, Khammam is the only place where the ruling party is unable to get its bread by playing cheap politics since Left parties in Khammam are very strong and have always fought against unethical politics.”
He also said that the Left parties united candidate Puvvada Nageshwar Rao’s victory in MLC elections would be the beginning for the new era of Left parties in the coming 2019 Assembly elections. All the public representatives of the district must vote for P Nageshwar Rao for the sake of the welfare of the people, the left leader said.
Left parties united candidate Puvvada Nageshwar Rao said TRS came to power by making false promises. It should tell the people how many double bedroom houses were allotted till now.
“With the support of the TDP and Congress, winning the MLC seat in Khammam is not a big task to the Left parties,” he said.
Making a serious accusation on KCR, Puvvada Nageshwar Rao said, “KCR is one of the 10 gangsters who played a major role in bringing down NTR’s government. He is now trying to eliminate all the Opposition parties.” CPI state leader K Sambasiva Rao, CPI district secretary P Sudharshan Rao, P Prabhakar, U Kotaiah, A J Ramesh, N Nageshwar Rao, B Lenin, P Prasad and Md Maulana were present along with others.
