ACB traps village panchayat secretary

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths trapped a Village Panchayat Secretary red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a person at his office in the town on Wednesday afternoon.
Karimnagar: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths trapped a Village Panchayat Secretary red-handed while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 from a person at his office in the town on Wednesday afternoon.According to ACB DSP Sudarshan Goud, Durshatti Narsaiah, the Village Panchayat Secretary of Thotapalli in Bejjanki mandal, demanded Rs 10,000 from T Srinivas to issue no-objection certificate and settled the amount for Rs 6,000.
Srinivas along with his relative, Balakrishna, approached Narsaiah for no-objection certificate to cut down jelly flower trees and setup a kiln to prepare charcoal. But the Secretary demanded bride to issue the certificate.
Unable to pay the amount, Srinivas approached ACB sleuths, who hatched a plan and trapped the Village Panchayat Secretary red-handed. Narsaiah was taken into custody and produced in the court.
