NSICON-2015, the annual conference of the Neurological Society of India (NSI), concluded on Sunday. With the number of registrations made last year were only 600 at Coimbatore, this time it rose up to 1280 in Hyderabad resulting in a huge success with twice the number of delegates turning up this year.

The four-day conference of the NSICON, which included doctors, post-graduate students, was organised by the chairpersons Dr S Mohan Das, Dr A Krishna Reddy; organising secretary Dr Manas Panigrahi and co-organising secretary Dr Sita Jayalakshmi.

Outgoing president, Dr B S Sharma said “Hyderabad conference was a huge success. The highlight was the scientific deliberations which were of very high standard. Acclaimed specialists from India and abroad gave presentations on various subjects including brain tumors, head injury, and vascular disorders and not to forget on researches.”

NSI is spreading its reach world-wide with SAARC countries tying up with the neurological body. Specialists and medical students from these countries are likely to be invited to the NSICON 2016.
