Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has alleged in a series of tweets that her party's senior lawmaker Sudip Bandyopadhyay has been threatened.

The Chief Minister said Bandyopadhyay, who is the leader of the Trinamool Congress in the Lok Sabha, had messaged her that he was getting death threats.

She said she had asked him to file an FIR or First Information Report and send a copy to Kolkata.

She had also advised that he should go to Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
