The TUWJ representatives took out a rally from Press Club to Dharna Chowk before reaching the Collectorate. Later, the scribes gave a memorandum to the District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, State vice-president of the TUWJ (IJU), K Ramnarayana said, “The government is showing negligence in giving the accreditations along with issuing the health cards to the journalists since one-and-half year.

TUWJ (IJU) district president Prasen said, “The government is negligent in issuing health cards, though it agreed to give the same. Since one year, many journalists have been facing problems as they need to pay for their health related expenses.
