The festival was a venue for an attempt to break the Guinness World Records' entry for the largest online photo album of selfies. Currently the record is held by Atasun Optik from Istanbul in Turkey with 1,03,690 selfies in 2014.

“We are here to break this record,” said Abhishek Gupta of ‘What’s Ur Skill’ from Kolkata. “During the past five days we have uploaded well over 5,000 selfies. We have been touring all over India to collect selfies. As part of this journey we came to Hyderabad and have got an excellent response. Our stall was the busiest stall in the entire festival. We will break the record by mid 2016,” he added.

Supporting the selfie-record deal was 24-year old Bhanu Prakash Racha from Kukatpally, who is ‘Mr Selfie India’ and has recently set a record by clicking 1,800 selfies in one hour. Bhanu will be contributing 30,000 selfies for the record.
