Cold wave claims one

Aswaraopet (Khammam): Sixty five-year-old G Pitchaiah of Tirumalakunta village in Aswaraopet mandal died in the early hours of Tuesday due to the cold wavethat has been sweeping the Telangana for the last few days, according to the reports reaching the mandal headquarters on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that the night temperatures had come down drastically during the last four days in Aswaraopet mandal.

Pitchaiah who became sick due to the cold wave died, his family members said.
