Contract workers besiege municipal office

Nirmal (Adilabad): Municipal contract employees laid siege to the municipal office here on Wednesday demanding payment of salaries for the last three months.

They tried to gatecrash into the municipal council general body meeting which was in progress.

They squatted before the municipal office raising slogans and demanding justice.

Later, they submitted memorandum to the commissioner in-charge and RDO Sivalingaiah stating that their families were virtually starving due to the non-payment of salaries for the last three months.
