Speed up Water Grid Works: Smita Sabharwal

Nalgonda: The Additional Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office, Smita Sabharwal directed the officials concerned to speed up the works of Mission Bhageeratha in the district.
Smitha Sabarwal inspected Mission Bhageeratha works in Bommalaramaram, Thurkapally and Atmakur mandals on Tuesday. She directed the officials to take measures on payment of compensations to the farmers, whose land was acquired for the Mission Bhageeratha and to sort out the problems regarding the forest land.
Reminding that Rs 15 lakh to each village was already sanctioned under the programme, she instructed the officials to speed up the works so as to complete them by April 30, 2016. Smita stressed the need to use quality material in the works of Water Grid.
Bhongir Revenue Division Officer Madhusudan, Superintendent Engineer of Water Grid Vijayapal and Superintendent Engineer of Rural Water Supply Ramana also accompanied the senior IAS officer during her visit.
