The meet war organised on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the War by the Zilla Sainik Welfare officers. Expressing his gratitude for the soldiers, the District Collector said, “The sacrifices of soldiers cannot be measured.”

Zilla Sainik Welfare officer, K Praveen Kumar appealed to the District Collector to recommend financial assistance to the non-pensioners, who participated in the 1965 and 1971 Wars.

In turn, Rahul Bojjay promised to address the grievances of ex-servicemen with regard to land and pension by representing individual cases to the State and Central Government as applicable.

The dignitaries who attended the meeting were Additional Joint Collector A Rajender, officer in-charge ex-servicemen helpline Col. Burman, officer representing Indian Navy from DMT Commander Praveen, former Director Sainik Welfare Brigadier (Retd.) CS Vidyasagar, Vice-chairman Zilla Sainik Board Wing Cdr (Retd.) Bhushan and President Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association Mir Abid Ali.
