Especially, bakeries and restaurants are trying to attract the customers by giving tempting offers. Some bakeries are giving a free cool drink on the purchase of one kilogram cake while a few restaurants are promising to give a cake along with a biryani.
Majority of the food joints setup huge flexis and banners in front of their business establishments, highlighting their offers to customers while others printed pamphlets. Taking one step ahead, a bakery management is giving Honda Activa lucky draw coupon on every Rs 200 purchase.
Competing with these food joints, the home foods manufactures also reduced prices of various items while mobile phone vendors are promising free insurance facility and other attractive offers.
A bakery at Mankammathota is offering Rs 55 worth cool drink (1.5 litre) on the purchase of one kilogram cake while another one at Jagityal road is offering half litre vanilla ice cream along with one kilogram butter cake and half litre butter scotch along with a cool cake.
Besides a 10 percent special discount if the cakes were booked one day before, Honda Activa bike lucky coupons have also been given on the purchase worth Rs 200. The lucky person would be selected through draw of lots on January 1.
Another bakery near BSNL office is giving a half litre vanilla ice cream along with at Rs 220 worth cake. A cakes manufacturing unit is offering one kg cake and 600 ml cool drink at Rs 210 and half kg cake and 400 ml cool drink at Rs 110.
A restaurant management near Telangana Chowk is promising chicken biryani and cake at a cheaper price of Rs 200.
A home foods vendor in Mankammathota has reduced the price of a kilogram of food items from 160 to Rs 130.
On the other hand, a mobile phone showroom management established a flexi promising free insurance and 20 percent free EMI on credit card purchase of mobile phones. While other shops near Tower Circle offering Rs 499 worth bag on the purchase of mobile worth Rs 1,099.
Speaking to The Hans India, Mohammed Moiz, owner of universal bakers, said they are giving special offers to the customers to attract them, losing their profits.
It is possible to give items worth Rs 50 to customers free of cost if they reduce their profit by Rs 20 on cake and cool drink. At the same time, cool drink companies were also giving offers to retailers, he informed.
