An awareness programme was organised on Tuesday by the staff members of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Government Degree College in Bhadrachalam on how a person must react protecting himself along with rescuing others when an unexpected disaster or accident occurs.

Participating as the chief guest, RDO B Venkateshwarlu appreciated the staff members of NDRF for organising such an awareness programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “If any disaster occurs like fire accidents, cyclones, or floods, one must protect self and face the situation with courage.

We should keep in mind all the points explained by the NDRF staff and implement them when struck in such situations."

NDRF Inspector Vipin Singh said, "Everyone irrespective of their ageare easily climbing the Mount Everestnow-a-days which is a highly difficult task. We should not lose courage under any circumstances.

We need to learn various techniques to protect ourselves in such conditions and must rescue others too." Later the staff members of the NDRF gave a live demo to the students on how to give first-aid and steps to be taken to protect others during disasters.

SIsParvath Lal and Murali, ASI G D B Bhulokam, Assistant Director of Agricultural Department Abhimanyudu, Tahsildar Rama Krishna, AD of Animal Husbandry G Venkataiah and Fire Officer Mukesh Kumar were present along with the college students.
