Joy of freedom

The evening at HLF saw an mesmerising presentation of ‘Rasa Anubhuti’, which had Rupak Kulkarni on flute, Jaywant Naidu on Hawaiian guitar, Akhilesh Gundecha on pakhawaj and Kalinath Mishra on the tabla. They started programme with ‘Aalap’ in Raga Yaman and followed by ‘Jod Jhala’.

Rupak and Jaywant enthralled the audience when they played a composition in ‘Vilambit teentaal’ and concluded the piece in ‘Drut teentaal’. Both artistes interwove their music with the rhythms of the pakhawaj and tabla with élan and displayed good skill of ‘Layakari’.

The evening concluded with a short rendition in Raga Sindhu Bhairavi leaving the audience in awe.
