A large number of ex-servicemen, war widows and their families turned up for the medical and health checkup at a daylong camp organised as part of the Army Day 2016 celebrations at Military Hospital in Secunderabad.

Physicians from empanelled hospitals attached with the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) were placed in service. An ex-servicemen pension cell was established to address problems faced by veterans related to pension. In addition, a short film highlighting lifestyle diseases, causes and their effects and how to prevent them was also screened on the occasion.
