The event was organised by the Department of Painting, College of Fine Arts (JNAFAU) in association with the Jagdish and Kamla Mittal Museum of Indian Art. 

A screening of two films namely ‘2000 years of painting’ and ‘Enchanted Ajanta’, both by Benoy K Behl took place recently at the seminar hall in Fine Arts College, Masab Tank. The event was organised by the Department of Painting, College of Fine Arts (JNAFAU) in association with the Jagdish and Kamla Mittal Museum of Indian Art.

Benoy K Behl photographed the Badami caves, Lepakshi Temple, Brahadeeshwara Temple, Ellora Caves, Bagh Caves; published them in international magazines like National Geographic and made more than 100 documentaries.

His first two documentary films, made during the year 1976 were telecast by Doordarshan, in which he has taken more than 35,000 photographs. His exhibitions are on permanent display at Ryukoku University in Kyoto, Jade Temple in Shanghai and Shwedagon Pagoda in Myanmar. He has travelled around the world giving more than 300 lectures in about 170 locations.

The recent screenings were attended by many artists and art connoisseurs like Thota Vaikuntam, Anjani Reddy, Srinivas Chary, Priti Samyukta, Anana Gadapa, Kavita Deuskar, Chippa Sudhakar, Maredu Ramu and Shwetachandra. Speaking on the occasion, Jagdish Mittal expressed the need for the younger generation to have a scholarly approach to the subject of art and understand its importance.
