Each and every student, just like how one concentrates on achieving excellence in academics, ought to focus equally well on learning to be humane and considerate to fellow-beings and become responsible human beings.”

This trait can be cultivated when students emulate the inspirational words of wisdom passed on by their parents and teachers during the growing up stage. This and more marked the enlightening talk delivered by Telangana State’s first Director General of Police, Anurag Sharma, while participating in a colurfully organised annual day of Johnson Grammar School (JGS) in its Nacharam campus.

Quite appropriately, the celebrations were themed ‘Navarasas’, a mission to create future-ready students. Participating in the function, actress-politician Jayaprada recounted about her childhood days spent in Rajahmundry.

She underscored the importance of education and also about having schoolmates as close lifetime buddies. She was referring to Ushashree, the principal of JGS, who was her classmate and someone who has remained the best of her friends.

B Suresh Mudiraj, the Managing Director of Johnson Group of Schools, spoke about the vision of the founding-father and their mission in taking forward the great legacy. The principal appraised about the achievements, awards and accolades won by the students at various platforms, including educational, cultural and sports.

Later, the guests and parents were treated to a wonderful evening of razzmatazz as students rendered many a number and gave glimpses of their creative outpourings during the cultural programmes that evoked loud applause.
