The KVSR Siddhartha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the city is going to organise a two-day workshop on ‘Role of Intellectual Property Rights in Pharmaceutical Industries’, in association with Indian Institute of Patent and Trademark, New Delhi.

The KVSR Siddhartha Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the city is going to organise a two-day workshop on ‘Role of Intellectual Property Rights in Pharmaceutical Industries’, in association with Indian Institute of Patent and Trademark, New Delhi. The workshop will be held at the institute’s campus on January 23 and 24, said Principal Dr G Devala Rao.

In a release to the media on Monday, he said that the workshop is aimed to provide an insight into the trademark and patent rights on drugs, guidelines, benefits and other topics in relevance. Resource persons from Institute of Patent and Trademark, Keerthiman Sharma and Shreshta Sharma will elaborate on the topic where students pursuing bachelors and masters in Pharmacy and Pharm D will take part.

Special Officer of the Krishna University Nuzuvid Campus Prof M Venkata Basaveswara Rao will inaugurate the programmme, he added. A certificate that shall be issued to the participants in the workshop was released in presence of faculties in pharmacy Dr Ch Sivareddy and Krishna Sri.
