Divine Raaga, the Hindi folk-fusion-rock band from Bengaluru, who was in Hyderabad recently performed at the Hard Rock Café, Hyderabad. Influenced from multiple genres rooted in Indian culture and amalgamated with rock, the performance was sort of a soulful rendition; a heavenly connect with lyrical depth.

Inspired by the likes of, Euphoria, AR Rahman, Javed Akhtar, Iron Maiden, Jal, Remember Shakti and Indian Ocean, the band has seven members viz. Buddha (vocalist), Ashraf (guitarist), Mrinal (drummer), Kishore (keyboard artiste), Ashish (bass), Rahul (guitarist) and Prithwin (flute).

The Band performed original compositions and covers including numbers like “Teen bandar”, “Baarish”, “Maula” and “Banjaraa” much to the enjoyment of the crowed amidst thumping beats and leg-tapping tunes.

“We all share an unconditional love for music, and are not in it for any personal gains. Each of us represents Divine Raaga, said Mrinal. The Band is the winner of the global ‘battle of bands’ that was organised by Hard Rock Café worldwide.
