The two-day Krishna University inter-college girls’ volleyball league tournament began on a grand note at the SDM Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala premises on Tuesday.

KBN College, Maris Stella College, SDMSMK, Maris Stella College and Nalanda College from Vijayawada and ANR College, Gudivada participated in the tourney. Income Tax Deputy Commissioner Satyanandh inaugurated the tournament.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyanandh said that these days sports play a vital role for youth in grabbing employment opportunities. He urged the students to develop their sporting skills, which benefit them to achieve higher standards of life on par with daily academics.
SDMSK Principal Dr T Vijaylakshmi, Krishna University sports board secretary N Srinivas Rao, AP Volleyball Association secretary AV Ramana Rao and others were also present.
