Passengers travelling to Sabarimala, Shirdi and other locations have something to cheer about. The South Central Railway (SCR) is temporarily augmenting additional coaches to several trains to provide travelling facility for waitlisted passengers.

In all 19,620 berths / seats are provided by attaching additional coaches. The augmentation of coaches will make available 540 berths in First AC, 6,072 berths in AC II Tier, 5,376 berths in AC III Tier, 5,472 berths in Sleeper Class, 2,160 seats in AC Chair Car totalling to 19,620 additional seats/berths generated for clearing extra rush and wait listed passengers.
