The 13th edition of the ongoing travellers’ awareness programme, ‘South African Roadshow’ reached Hyderabad on Thursday after traversing through Kolkata and Delhi. Designed to increase destination awareness among travel planners in India,

the roadshow had a participation of about 50 exhibitors that included names like Southern Africa 360 Luxury Holidays, Go Garden Route & Klein Karoo, Earth Explorer Tours and Travel, Ascot Golf Tours, Amrho Tourism PTY Ltd and African Eagle.

Commenting on the roadshow, Margie Whitehouse, Chief Marketing Officer, South African Tourism said, “We have always witnessed an overwhelming response from the Indian trade and are excited to see how this roadshow is going to contribute to the Tourism of South Africa.”

“India is such an incredible country and we look forward to their continued support to present tourism with a larger platform in both countries,” she added.Monika Iuel, General Manager of International Marketing, South African Tourism said, “Our synergy or partnership with the Indian trade has reached new heights both in terms of execution and depth of engagement.”

Hanneli Slabber, Country Manager, South African Tourism, said, “We have seen huge developments in terms of product offering, as well as in the changes in the way we operate in the Indian market. We have seen a lot of refinement in the 'Made for India in South Africa' campaign by South African products and service providers.” The four-city show will culminate in Mumbai on Friday.
